Following the success of Captain Marvel, fans have been shipping Carol Danvers with Valkyrie, another strong and awesome female hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and both Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson are loving it.
This movement took off when Brie Larson quote tweeted fan art by @BeverlyLove of her Captain Marvel holding Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarok, saying “We cute @TessaThompson_x.”
Thompson quote tweeted Larson’s response and fully agreed, saying “WHAT. we so cute @brielarson.”
A few days later, Thompson quote tweeted another creation of Captain Marvel and Valkyrie by @moishpain, praising the work by stating “Oh wow. @brielarson we back.”
Larson followed suit with another quote tweet of @maxatttack’s version of Danvers and Valkyrie and Larson promised she “will never stop loving this ship @TessaThompson_x.”
While many fans are obviously hoping for these two heroes to meet and more in Avengers: Endgame and/or the future, others have been shipping Carol Danvers with her friend and fellow pilot Maria Rambeau, and Larson loves it as well and has been retweeting them to show her support.
It’s not all shipping though, as some just wish to see characters we haven’t seen together talking, fighting, and simply being awesome, like Valkyrie and Okoye, an idea which Thompson fully supports.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see what the future holds for their favorite characters, including between Thor and Carol Danvers, as Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019, and you can find out everything we know about thee upcoming film that Chris Evans has said is so good that he “choked up like three times.”
