We mentioned late last week that NXT Superstar Austin Aries received a kick to the eye from NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura that resulted in a serious facial injury, instantly sidelining Aries from competition.

According to PWInsider, Aries suffered a fracture to the large orbital bone, and is scheduled to undergo surgery this week in Birmingham, Alabama. Aries will be out of action until the first quarter of 2017.
