Fans might recall Dave Batista revealing in an interview earlier this year that he actually was slated to be Ronda Rousey’s opponent at WrestleMania 34, with the idea being that the tag team match would lead to a Batista vs Triple H match at WrestleMania 35. For whatever reason, WWE stopped communicating with The Animal, and the bout took with Kurt Angle as Rousey’s partner.
PWInsider.com recently revealed in a Q&A that Batista “is not a priority for whatever reason” in WWE, and there are likely no current plans in place for a Batista WWE return. Batista has been very open about his desire to return to WWE, and the former Champion has made it known he has not accepted a Hall of Fame induction as he does not consider his WWE career to be finished.
