As we just recently posted, Drew McIntyre of the WWE Raw brand made a surpsie visit to Smackdown Live tonight in order to join The Bar in interrupting and ruining The New Day’s WWE Championship celebration for Kofi Kingston.
You can also add the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman to list of brand-jumping attackers, as the 2019 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner showed up and took the fight to WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe, following the later’s 60-second victory over Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania.
After a brief, but furious brawl between the two heavyweight brutes, Strowman attempted to hoist up the champion for his signature running power slam, but Joe managed to wriggle free and escape the ring, title-in-hand, to fight another day. It’s likely we haven’t seen the last of the two competitors together, especially with next week’s WWE Superstar Shakeup looming.
