A former point man for Vince McMahon inside the WWE, Bruce Pritchard, on a recent edition of his podcast “Something to Wrestle With” talks about when the company first discovered Roman Reigns, while the Samoan was still in high school.
“I remember Roman Reigns when Roman was playing high school football. And they would send us pictures, it’s Sika’s son. And it would be like, ‘hey this kid got named All-American, he’s gonna be one to watch!’ And of course Jim Ross, ‘g*ddamn he plays football, gotta love him.’ And so we’ve followed his career since the time he was in high school.”
So there you have it, the Roman Reigns push has been in the works since before he was even in the ring itself.

Currently Roman is out of action due to a health scare involving a few others and a case of viral Meningitis and another case of the mumps. He is scheduled to be re-evaluated around the time of this year’s Survivor Series in mid-November. He was scheduled to be part of a Sheild reunion at the TLC show, but missed it and was replaced by Kurt Angle in the big TLC match.
