WWE has announced that McIntyre will be on SmackDown tonight and will take part in a contract signing with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. McIntyre won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton in the main event of Monday’s Raw and is facing Reigns in a non-title champion vs. champion match at this Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.
McIntyre confronted Reigns on SmackDown last week and then went face-to-face with Reigns at the end of the show after defeating Reigns’ cousin Jey Uso in the main event.
WWE has also announced that Uso vs. Daniel Bryan will take place on SmackDown tonight. This will be the first time Bryan has appeared on SmackDown since Uso defeated him in a Survivor Series qualifying match three weeks ago. Uso officially aligned with Reigns and beat down Bryan after that match, including giving Bryan a splash from the top rope through the announce table. The attack continued in a post-show angle, with Uso pushing over a stretcher that Bryan was on and giving him another splash from the top rope in the ring.
Tonight’s SmackDown will also feature Seth Rollins vs. Murphy.
