Turkish giants Galatasaray sent representatives to Marseille this week to present French international Lassana Diarra with a formal contract offer, according to L’Équipe.
Gala are offering the player a three year deal, worth €4.5m net. On top of that, they have told the player that they are willing to pay half of the €10m fine that Diarra incurred over his TAS dispute with Lokomotiv Moscow, €5m.
The player will give his response at the beginning of next week. Valencia and Inter Milan are also interested, but not have the financial capabilities of the Turkish outfit.
Galatasaray are not planning on offering OM a transfer fee, citing the player’s large wages as enough of a relief on Marseille’s budget. Marseille wanted at least €4m.
A solution could be find in the sense that the Turkish side are willing to include Aurelien Chedjou in the deal.
