NEW YORK – There’s been plenty of time to drop your New Year’s resolution to run but, if your dedication is still strong, now’s the time to really commit.
Applications for the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon will be accepted from Monday Jan. 14 until Feb. 14, with the drawing for places taking place on February 27.
Entries can be made here as of Monday with fees for the race this year being $255 for members of the New York Road Runners and $295 for non-members. Non-U.S. residents will be charged $358. The payment is made when a runner gets accepted to the race.
There will be three drawings which are designed to make the race diverse. They are for people who live within 60 miles of New York City, national applicants and international runners.
Last year, there were 105,184 applicants, with only 15,640 winning a spot at the drawing.
The race, which starts in Staten Island and winds 26.2 miles through all five boroughs before finishing in Central Park, will be run on Nov. 3 this year.
