No amount of teams or other details were announced for the tournament which will play out on their weekly TV.

The female-held tag team gold was first established in 2009 in then-TNA. Sarita and Taylor Wilde defeated The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) in the finals of an eight-team tournament.

The titles were held by nine different teams before being vacated in June 2013 with Eric Young and ODB as the final champions. It was deactivated a month later due to both interest and not having enough talent to contribute to the division.

The news was one of two noteworthy occurrences for the women’s division Saturday as Deonna Purrazzo lost her Knockouts Championship to Su Yung after original challenger Kylie Rae didn’t appear.
