Juventus suffered their third defeat on the trot in the Champions League on Wednesday as Paris Saint-Germain salvaged a 2-1 victory, courtesy of the goals from Kylian Mbappé and Nuno Mendes.

Following the match, Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri said that he was angry at the result despite acknowledging later that there were good things in Bianconeri’s performance. He also heaped praise on the reigning Ligue 1 champions as the former Milan manager admitted that his team should not have missed even one chance against the French giants.

As quoted by L’Équipe, the Juve coach said:

“When you go out on the pitch and you come out beaten, you can only be angry. Then, in the content of the performance, there were some good things. But these are players against whom you can’t miss anything. We’ve lost five times in six games, we can only be upset.”

Despite the defeat, Juventus have qualified for this season’s UEFA Europa League via a third-place finish in their respective group. On the other hand, PSG have qualified for the Champions League knock-out stages as the second-best team in Group H. The draw for the round of 16 of the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League will be made official on November 7.
