Actor Luke Perry has died at the age of 52 following a stroke last Wednesday, reported by Variety.

Perry was known for his role of Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210, which made him a teen idol in the nineties. He also appeared in The Fifth Element as Billy Masterson, and was more recently in Riverdale as Fred Andrews. Perry also did voice work for the animated series, The Incredible Hulk.

Perry was hospitalized the same day that Fox announced a revival of 90210, which will feature a returning cast including Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling. Both Perry and Shannen Doherty were not announced to be in the revival that will release this summer.

The late actor had finished shooting for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and will appear on-screen as the real-life actor Wayne Maunder playing as Scott Lancer.

Perry can be seen in Tarantino’s upcoming film on July 26, 2019.
