Houssem Aouar had made the conscious decision to remain at Lyon last summer, with his objective being to play for France at EURO 2020. Despite EURO 2020 being postponed by another 12 months, the French youth international is now looking more firmly at a departure, with Juventus and Manchester City harbouring the most concrete interest in his services currently.

For City, Aouar’s camp is concerned about the club potentially being banned by UEFA from participating in the Champions’ League for the next two seasons, with the newspaper feeling that if the Court of Arbitration for Sport brings that ban down or removes it, plus how excited Aouar would be at the prospect of working with Guardiola, then the Frenchman could very well be enticed to move to the Premier League club.
