Some major names will be appearing on WWE programming in the very near future. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, top names such as The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Goldberg will all be featured on Raw over the next couple of weeks. All three men have been confirmed to appear on WWE’s show in Saudi Arabia next month. WWE will be bringing these names back to television to help build up their matches for the upcoming event, but the company is also reportedly hoping that the three of them will be able to help boost ratings for Raw and SmackDown, both of which have drastically been declining over the past few weeks. Expect to see each of these men on television again very soon.
As All Elite Wrestling’s first event, Double or Nothing, approaches closer, there are still a ton of questions that fans still have regarding the upstart promotion. One of those questions has to do with talent exclusivity. In an update from PWTorch, a change has occurred recently as far as talent booking shows outside of AEW. Joey Janela is now expected to be finished with his indie commitments completely by the fall. He and the more experienced AEW roster members will have to get indie shots approved by AEW President Tony Khan by the end of the year. Meanwhile, “AEW talent needing in-ring experience” will be allowed to work the independent scene in addition to AEW. This development follows an earlier report in the week claiming that The Lucha Bros. are expected to exclusively compete for AEW in the US very soon.
Unfortunately, it appears that former Divas Champion Paige may never be cleared to return to the ring by WWE doctors. However, she does still work for the company as the onscreen manager for Kairi Sane and Asuka on SmackDown. Paige has also indicated that she has interest in becoming an actress. While speaking with TMZ Sports, Paige said that one of her major goals at the moment is transitioning into an acting career. Paige wants to earn more movie roles now that she cannot wrestle anymore. Of course, she will continue to appear on WWE programming for now, but perhaps she will follow in the footsteps of John Cena, Batista, or The Rock in the future.
