Cody Rhodes has made a name for himself in multiple independent promotions lately, including Ring of Honor. It was recently announced that Cody had signed with Ring of Honor, and was perhaps going to be exclusive to them going forward. This past Monday night’s edition of Raw opened with Roman Reigns intimidating Intercontinental Champion The Miz on his MizTV show. Miz and Roman Reigns later faced off in a match, and while Roman did win the match, he was viciously attacked by Miz, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel. Right before the final segment on Raw, it was announced that The Miz will be defending his title against Roman Reigns on next week’s episode of Raw. The rumored plan is still to build towards a Shield vs. Miztourage match at the TLC pay-per-view. The Shield was referenced a bit on Raw, and the Miztourage mocked Reigns by doing the Shield pose, so it does seem like the reunion of the team is on the way.
John Cena was not successful in his match against Roman Reigns at the No Mercy pay-per-view this past Sunday night. On Raw Talk, he said that he passed the torch to Reigns during the match, and he questioned if he could continue wrestling at the pace that he was used to. John Cena appears to be gone from WWE once again, but he has nabbed yet another movie role. Deadline.com reports that Cena will appearing in an untitled buddy cop comedy alongside The Big Sick star Kumail Nanjiani. This is just another one of the movies that Cena will be appearing in as time goes on. John Cena is reportedly not making anymore WWE appearances until November’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.
