If a city wants to host WrestleMania nowadays, then that city will have to compete with other cities eager to host the event in a bidding war. Whichever city does end up hosting the event usually goes all out in decking out the area in WrestleMania-themed decorations. New Orleans is no different this year as brand new signs, banners, and posters have begun to pop up in the city as of late. Even The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport just recently uploaded some photos on social media of the airport in the city geared up for the big event next week. WWE will finally be hosting WrestleMania in New Orleans, Louisiana for the second time on April 8th, 2018.

From the first WrestleMania event held back in 1985 all the way to right now, the event has always been able to bring in big celebrities. Whether they actively compete in matches or just make quick cameos, the event usually features celebrities in some capacity. For instance, it looked like Chrissy Teigen was set to attend this year’s show after Stephanie McMahon invited her to the event, but Teigen just announced that she will be unable to appear at the show this year due to her pregnancy. It looks like McMahon’s invitation still stands though. In fact, she simply just invited Teigen to next year’s WrestleMania taking place in the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

my doctor suggests I not attend wrestlemania. she thinks I might get too excited and have a wrestlemania baby.

We will miss you @chrissyTeigen! This tweet can serve as your official invite to next year’s #WrestleMania at @MLStadium on 4/7/19. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, as the mom of three girls I can definitely relate to how you’re feeling! See you next year! https://t.co/pIIe7IHLWs

Fans were absolutely devastated when it was confirmed that WWE had released their longtime music composer Jim Johnston from his contract. Johnston has been responsible for creating some of the most iconic songs and entrance themes in WWE history, but believe it or not, Johnston recently revealed that he is actually not a fan of professional wrestling. While discussing his career with WWE and as a composer in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Johnston stated, “Just because John Williams did the scores for E.T. and Star Wars does not automatically make him a giant fan of aliens or space travel. I would categorize myself as a non-wrestling fan. I see the appeal and there are times when I could get really excited about it, but I wrote music for what I was hired to write. I threw myself into what I was writing.” Johnston composed the entrance themes for stars such as Vince McMahon and Steve Austin, and he most recently worked on Baron Corbin’s current entrance theme.
