205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick announced a while back that Buddy Murphy will be putting his Cruiserweight Championship on the line in a match against three unnamed opponents. The Fatal 4-Way match will be taking place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view later on this month, and the competitors for the match are slowly beginning to be revealed. During last night’s edition of the show, Akira Tozawa defeated Drew Gulak to qualify for the match, and Kaliso beat Lio Rush for a spot in the match as well. Cedric Alexander and Hideo Itami are set to battle during next week’s episode for the final spot in the match. The cruisweight title defense happens at the Royal Rumble event on January 27th.

It has been a busy time for Major League Wrestling as the promotion has been signing some big names to its roster as of late. Brian Pillman Jr. and Teddy Hart have just signed deals with MLW, and so has Gringo Loco, but it doesn’t stop there. It looks like a second-generation competitor has also managed to ink a contract with MLW. The promotion confirmed to PWInsider that Davey Boy Smith Jr. has officially signed a multi-year deal and will be staying with MLW for the foreseeable future. Smith’s history with MLW goes all the way back to when he was just 18, and he has continued to make appearances for MLW in recent months. Smith is also said to be staying in New Japan Pro Wrestling in addition to his new gig with MLW.

Some may remember when it was reported that SmackDown Superstar Zelina Vega received a concussion during a battle royal at WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view back in October. Vega stopped competing for a short time, but she has since resumed wrestling and accompanying Andrade “Cien” Almas to the ring. Following this week’s SmackDown show, there were some reports and concerns from fans over Vega having another concussion. This has caused fans to fear that she may be prone to receiving concussions, which could be damaging to Vega’s career if it were true. In this case, it is not true at all. Zelina Vega has confirmed that she is not concussed right now and is indeed completely healthy at the moment.
Guys.. this is exactly why you should take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt: I am not concussed, I am very healthy. See you all tonight on #SmackdownLive !
