New Japan Pro Wrestling returns to the United States on July 7th for the second annual G1 Special, but this year the promotion is going BIG. After selling out their last three events in record time, NJPW will run the legendary Cow Palace in San Francisco, which could seat more than 10,000 rabid pro wrestling fans.

Tickets go on sale through Ticket Master this Tuesday, May 1st at 1:00 p.m. EDT. They range from $40 at the cheapest to $300 for the first two rows.

While it’s unlikely that tickets will sell out within the first few hours, or even the first few days if the arena is truly set up to hold more than 10,000 people as the NJPW website says. That being said, their show earlier this year at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, CA completely sold out a 4,500-person building within 20 minutes, so we recommend showing up as early as possible if you’re intent on getting good seats.

There are currently no matches announced for the show, and it’s unlikely that we will have anything confirmed until after the two NJPW Dontaku shows on Thursday and Friday. The official poster for the event is advertising the promotion’s top four stars – IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega, Hiroshi Tanahashi and IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito.
