Nantes have confirmed that Belgian winger Yassine El Ghanassy has joined Saudi side Al-Raed on a season-loan deal.
The former West Bromwich Albion player made 20 appearances for Les Canaris last season but did not find himself in the upcoming first team plans of Nantes’ manager Miguel Cardoso.
El Ghanassy has endured something of a nomadic career to date: his latest move will be his fourth loan move and ninth new club in total as a professional.
The 28-year-old holds dual Belgian-Moroccan nationality and collected two international caps for the Belgian national side in 2011.
El Ghanassy will begin his 2018/19 campaign on August 31, the start date for the Saudi Professional League.
