The Financial Times reported this afternoon that two sources have informed them that a number of PSG sponsorship contracts have been “significantly overstated” amid their ongoing FFP investigation, currently being conducted by UEFA.

The European football governing body had hired consultancy firm Octagon to review a number of PSG’s sponsorship agreements, including deals with Qatar National Bank, Qatar Tourism Authority and BeIN Sports – the independent company has now reportedly concluded that the French capital club has over-inflated these agreements, with the insinuation thus being that such actions might have otherwise enabled Les Parisiens to side-step FFP punishment.

UEFA are due to meet to discuss the findings next week, the newspaper claims.

PSG have this evening denied the report in a press release, citing “erroneous information” coming from the British press.
