Former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button turned 38 last week, and he was determined to celebrate in style!
Button took part in 306 grand Prix races over the course of 18 years in the sport. His final appearance was in last year’s Monaco Grand Prix, subbing for an Indy 500-bound Fernando Alonso.
Even though he’s called time on Grand Prix racing, he’s not finished with motorsport altogether. hes announced that he will be competing in this year’s Japanese Super GT programme with Honda.
In the meantime, there was a distinct motor racing feel to the 90s-themed celebrations for his birthday, with Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo showing up to join in the fun.
In special YouTube video for his new JensonButton.TV channel, he took fans behind the scenes of his birthday bash.

“I wanted to share with you a sneak peek of my birthday weekend,” he wrote.
“[It] kicked off with a lot of cake and laughter at Big Bear Lake in California,” he continued.
“No skiing in the end but off road driving and fun in the snow with some of my buddies.
“Daniel Ricciardo then joined us for a crazy day of karting at CalSpeed, California Speedway in Fontana.
“An absolutely epic weekend to remember!” he added.
“Big thanks to Phil Giebler Racing for looking after us,” he said. “[And] Daniel Ricciardo for the Ricciardo Karts, and Alpinestars for kitting me out!”
