22-year-old AS Monaco attacker Samuel Grandsir is closing in on a surprise loan departure to fellow Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg, according to L’Équipe.

The former ESTAC Troyes winger has played just 12 times in Ligue 1 for strugglers ASM this season, coming up with 0 goals and 1 assist.

RCSA missed out on PSG’s US striker Timothy Weah earlier this summer, but look set to to bring in Monaco man Grandsir on loan without an option to buy.

Caen are also seeking a deal, but Strasbourg remain in pole position at the time of writing.
