THE SIX NATIONS rugby has been riveting but the sartorial choices of those deemed worthy to talk about it on television has created almost as many talking points.

The flashy suit ROG wore last week – compared by Alan Quinlan to one of Al Capone’s outfits – garnered a fair bit of attention so the BBC producers must have been pressuring their guys to wear something equally extravagant.

Step forward John Inverdale.

The theme of the scarf obviously fits in with his work… but that is about all you can say for it.

As for ROG, he has toned down his clothes for this week’s television appearance, restricting his flamboyance to this patterned necktie.

And as always, Shaggy looks like he has just walked off the set of a Reservoir Dogs remake.

Jeremy Guscott isn’t on the air until tomorrow presumably so god only knows what neckwear he will don to reclaim his stolen scarf thunder.
