A 10-year-old boy, who studies in Sydney, Australia has been saving pocket money for years and donated a sum of Rs 30,000 for the treatment of poor patients at PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Gurkiret Singh is following the footprints of his grandmother who donated all her life savings of Rs 60 lakh for the welfare of poor and needy.

Talking to Newsline, Harbajan Kaur said, ’’It is pleasing to see that my third generation is also carrying forward the teachings of Sikh gurus, who emphasised on the joy of giving.’’
