As noted, the famous WarGames match will be making its WWE debut at the NXT Takeover WarGames event on Saturday night in Houston, Texas.

The match will feature The Authors of Pain vs SAnitY vs The Undisputed Era, with all three teams battling it out in two rings surrounded by a cage.

During today’s WWE NXT Takeover media conference call, Triple H revealed there will not be a roof on the cage for the match on Saturday night. Traditionally, and in past incarnations, the WarGames match cage had a roof, but Triple H noted during the call that WWE needed to make updates to the match concept since the business has changed since the last time a WarGames match took place.

There will NOT be a roof on WarGames. “Arn Anderson wasn’t doing moonsaults off the top of the cage”. HHH says they needed to change a few things because the biz has changed, and it made sense for the 3-way team story. But he doesnt feel the guts/concept of WarGames has changed.
