ALLEGAN, MI — More than 23,000 containers of baby formula that were sold at Walmart were recalled nationwide because they could be contaminated with metal. Perrigo Company plc voluntarily recalled 35-ounce, 992-gram containers of Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron, the FDA announced Friday. The baby formula was sold exclusively at Walmart stores.
Individual states where the formula was sold weren’t listed. The tainted products were limited to a single lot with the code “C26EVFV” with a “use by” date of Feb. 26, 2021. Consumers can find the information on the bottom of the package.
No adverse events have been reported. The recall was issued out of an abundance of caution stemming from a consumer report.
Those who bought the formula can return it to any Walmart store and receive a refund.
Consumers with questions can call Perrigo’s consumer affairs department at 866-629-6181.
