The WWE in their recent quarterly financial conference call with the major stockholders announced the current status of their television deals both domestically and internationally. Things roughly go like this:
The current United States license agreements for RAW and Smackdown goes until September 30, 2019. Both shows currently air on the USA Network. Although that could change after this current deal expires, the Network seems happy to have WWE on their channel and may be the front-runner to carry them with a new deal when this one expires in 2019.
The Agreement for both shows in U.K. and India does not expire until December 31, 2019, which may sound like a long time between now and then, but really isn’t in the television world.

It is noted during this call that WWE management expects to announce its plans for U.S. distribution between May & September 2018, for the U.K. by year-end 2018, and for India in the first half of 2019.
Although it has been said that Television isn’t as much of a factor as it used to be, largely by those defending the WWE in sagging ratings, obviously it is still very important to the WWE business. During the last round of network negotiations in the United States, Vince had promised to triple the profit from their previous deal, and when he failed to deliver it sent the stock into a freefall. Although we aren’t at the negotiation stage quite yet over American television rights, it is nothing to sneeze at and something the company will need to worry about, if it isn’t already.
