WWE has announced a storyline update on Braun Strowman following last night’s episode of Raw.
There was an angle on last night’s show where Strowman snapped and struck Adam Pearce during the opening segment. The members of Raw’s Survivor Series men’s team were stating their case for a shot at Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship. When he got to Strowman, Pearce said Strowman was “last but certainly not least.” Strowman took offense to that, told Pearce to pick him for the title shot, and struck Pearce.
It was said that Strowman was escorted out of the building after striking Pearce. In their storyline update today, WWE announced that Strowman has been “suspended indefinitely”:
WWE Digital has learned that Braun Strowman has been suspended indefinitely for putting his hands on WWE official Adam Pearce.
Strowman took exception with Pearce’s plan for awarding a WWE Championship opportunity and lashed out at the WWE official. Stay tuned to WWE digital and social platforms for [updates], as the situation continues to develop.
Dave Meltzer reported in yesterday’s Daily Update that the current plan was for Strowman to challenge for Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship at TLC on Sunday, December 20. Last night’s Raw featured three qualifying matches to decide the participants for a triple threat number one contender’s match on next Monday’s show. Strowman wasn’t included after the angle where he was escorted out of the building. In the qualifying matches, Riddle defeated Sheamus, Keith Lee defeated Bobby Lashley, and AJ Styles defeated Randy Orton.
