Perhaps one of the biggest trailblazers for the current Women’s Evolution in WWE was former WWE Superstar AJ Lee. WWE rarely mentions or discusses AJ Lee or her accomplishments due to some reported issues that took place backstage during her career, as well as because of her marriage to CM Punk. Several WWE fans still miss the former Divas Champion and have been begging for her to return to the company for at least one guest appearance. When WWE even conducted a poll on their website asking fans which former female competitor they wanted to see come back for the upcoming all-women’s Evolution pay-per-view, AJ Lee won the poll over every single other woman listed in a landslide.
Although AJ Lee has not appeared in WWE or wrestled a match at all in several years, it sounds like the company is definitely trying to bring her back. According to reports from PWMania and Slice Wrestling, WWE has reached out to AJ recently about possibly coming back for the Evolution pay-per-view later on this year. The company was reportedly motivated to contact Lee after seeing the results of the online poll, and Vince McMahon himself is even said to be involved in the discussions. No word on a response yet from AJ’s end, but it will definitely be interesting to see what becomes of this offer and if AJ Lee will return to WWE in any way for the Evolution event that is scheduled to take place on October 28th.

It has definitely been a great week so far for Roman Reigns. “The Big Dog” was finally able to capture the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam earlier this week, he also retained the title in a match against Finn Balor on Raw the following night, and later on, he even reunited with his Shield brothers, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns’ good luck continues as he has just done some voiceover work for a show on Disney Junior. Reigns will be making a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Elena of Avalor. Details on Reigns’ character or a premiere date for the episode remain scarce at the moment, but a photo showing Reigns recording his lines in a studio can be viewed down below:
