The Friday, April 2 edition of SmackDown averaged 2.137 million viewers on Fox, down 2.5 percent from the previous week.

This put Fox in last place among the major networks in terms of total viewers. No other network averaged less than 2.7 million viewers on the night.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown drew the same 0.57 rating that it had drawn the past two weeks. That was third on the networks and fourth overall on television. There was stronger-than-usual competition as the women’s Final Four on ESPN averaged 1.7 million viewers for the early game and 2.7 million viewers for the late game. Parts of both games aired directly opposite SmackDown. The late game did a very strong 0.59 rating in 18-49, which topped all of cable.

In 18-34, SmackDown drew a 0.37 rating, down 5.1 percent from last week. SmackDown was second on all of television in that category as the strong ratings with younger viewers continue on the Road to WrestleMania.

As compared to this week last year, SmackDown was down 10.9 percent in total viewers. It was only down five percent in the 18-49 demo and down 7.5 percent in 18-34.
