Today on Inside Xbox, Microsoft revealed the Phantom White Special Edition wireless controller, inevitably banishing all your other gamepads to the dark, lonely drawer where you keep the “guest controllers” with the sticking buttons.
Though already available for pre-order, the Phantom White Special Edition will be available worldwide starting April 2, and will retail for $70 USD.
Yes, that’s steep, but the Phantom White Special Edition controller sports a sleek translucent-to-matte-white body gradient, showcasing the mechanical guts of the peripheral underneath.
In addition, the triggers, buttons, and D-pad are white, while the thumbsticks are accented in grey, with a small quad-color decal in the center of the face buttons as a helpful reminder of the color they used to carry before you outgrew the need for such things.
In other Xbox News today, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to PC and Steam, and Halo: Reach will be added to it. And Minecraft is coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future.
