Last night’s AEW Dynamite averaged 757,000 viewers on TNT, down 1.4 percent from last week.. The show drew a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 7.1 percent from the previous week.

WWE NXT averaged 678,000 viewers on USA, up 13.6 percent from last week. NXT was also up 7.7 percent in 18-49, drawing a 0.14 rating.

Dynamite finished sixth on cable in 18-49 while NXT was back in the top 30, finishing 29th for the night,.

As usual, Dynamite won all the major demo categories with the exception of people over 50, where NXT had a big advantage with a 0.40 rating to Dynamite’s 0.28.

Dynamite’s best category was men 18-49. The show drew a 0.42 rating in that demo and finished third overall on cable behind two NBA games on ESPN.

Dynamite and NXT were very close in males 12-34, with Dynamite holding a slim advantage of 0.14 to 0.13. This likely means that NXT did better with teenagers.

The year-over-year numbers were interesting. NXT was up 1.4 percent in overall viewers but down 30 percent in 18-49, meaning the show is skewing much older than it was in 2020. Dynamite was down 7.6 percent in overall viewers year-over-year and down 11.8 percent in 18-49. Of the four major nationally televised wrestling shows, Dynamite continues to hold up best in 18-49 year-over-year.
