A host of measures have been implemented this afternoon ahead of the Ligue 1 clash between PSG and Dijon in an attempt to contain the spread of coronavirus in France.

At the direction of public health officials, the French Football Federation (FFF) released a communiqué addressed to all football teams and leagues, from amateur to professional level, to suggest that players, coaches and officials avoid the customary hand-shakes pre and post-match in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

A more stringent set of measures have been taken for this afternoon’s clash at the Parc des Princes however. Goal France report that there will be no child mascots, no pre-match handshakes, no post-match mixed zone between media and fans. The post-match press conferences will however occur as planned, although according to Canal Plus, journalists might not be permitted to sit in the 1st row inside the conference hall.

PSG usually walk a red carpet when they got off their team bus and enter the Parc des Princes, but that has also been scraped today.
