France Football report that Ligue 1 duo Marseille and Lille have both been in contact about the possibility of signing 32-year-old Algerian international striker Islam Slimani from Leicester City.
Slimani had a successful season-long loan with AS Monaco in 2019/20, but was not favoured by now sacked manager Robert Moreno, and sought to cancel the loan in January before eventually not seeing his option to buy activated in June.

Under contract with the Foxes until June 2021, the Premier League side fully intend to sell the forward this summer, and are seeking €8m in return for doing so.
Lille SD Luis Campos is very interested in the experience that the player who scored 9 goals and laid on 8 assists in Ligue 1 last season might be able to bring.
