Le Parisien report that 19-year-old PSG central defender Loïc Mbe Soh is expected to depart the club on a permanent basis this summer, with his contract expiring in June 2021 with the Ligue 1 champions.

He made his professional debut in May 2019 and was used just once in the 2019/20 season by Thomas Tuchel, at right-back during the defeat at the Parc des Princes vs Reims.

PSG already have four central defenders in their stable, Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, Thilo Kehrer and Abdou Diallo, and Sporting Director Leonardo doesn’t intend to sign a fifth central defender unless a very nice opportunity presents itself.

Mbe Soh has no intention of extending his contract with the club and PSG are willing to allow the player to depart this summer, so as not to lose him for nothing in June 2021. Les Parisiens want €5m in order to sell their U19 youth international.

Bordeaux want Mbe Soh this summer, but the club is currently drowning in turmoil, with Paulo Sousa, the side’s manager, trying to resign and Eduardo Macia’s situation, the Sporting Director, is also unclear – thus, they are not exactly actively negotiating transfer deals for the 2020/21 campaign.

Other clubs abroad are interested, but the names of these sides have not yet filtered through.

Mbe Soh was poised to join Ligue 2 side Sochaux in January, but that fell through when Maxence Lacroix did not ultimately leave FCSM.
