MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State wrestling team is tied for 17th in the most-recent 2019-20 NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Top 25 Poll.
The Mavericks have three individuals ranked at their respective weight classes, including junior Kyle Rathman (Apple Valley, Minn.), who is rated third at 149 lbs. Rathman, who placed seventh at last year’s NCAA DII national championships in earning All-American honors, holds an 8-1 record for 2019-20.
Senior Louie Sanders owns a 6-2 record and is ranked ninth at 141 lbs., while senior Zach Johnston is 11-4 and is rated 10th at 174 lbs.

Next action for the Mavericks is this weekend when the Mavericks travel to North Dakota for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference duals. Friday’s dual against University of Mary is set for 7:00 p.m. in Bismarck, N.D., while Saturday’s dual with No. 23 Minot State in Minot, N.D., is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
