Despite stiff opposition from their families, Kiran Kumar, 25, and T Arpita, 19, were deter mined to live together. When the couple from Madhugiri of Tumakuru district tied the knot at a temple at Hesaraghatta in north Bengaluru on Friday, they made sure that the world knew about it. The wedding was streamed live on Facebook.

The couple said they decided to do so after their families raised objection to their relationship and filed a missing person complaint with police.
